The child experiences the seasons directly. Spring, summer, autumn and winter in their different qualities
It experiences the joy of the first ray of sunshine after thick fog, the dark clouds in the sky and the onset of downpour, the rustling of leaves in autumn or the frozen puddle in winter.
Why is spring colourful, fragrant, noisy and full of movement, while winter is quiet, rigid and lacking in colors and smells?
Where are the birds, insects and other animals in winter? Who are the footprints in the snow?
Why does the stream change after a downpour? Who ate the leaf? Where does the ant trail lead to?
Children often notice the smallest changes and ask questions;
Sometimes weeks after watching the process.
