VillaWald Oberursel is a private forest kindergarten run by the association "Elterngruppe für freie Kindererziehung eV".
1969 to the present
In 1969, a group of dedicated parents founded the association "Elterngruppe für freie Kindererziehung eV" (EFFK eV) . This association established the well-known "Kindervilla Kunterbunt" in Oberursel Oberstedten, a wonderful facility offering childcare for children under three and rooms for courses (e.g., baby massage), seminars, and community gatherings.

In 2020, the association "Elterngruppe für freie Kindererziehung eV" The opening of the VillaWald nature and forest kindergarten was made possible with the generous support of the city of Oberursel. Twenty children and four educators spend their days outdoors.
2023/2024
Grand opening of our shelter for hazardous weather conditions and for our lunch.
In 2024 we were able to expand our VillaWald garden plot from 1000 square meters to 2000 square meters.
today
We're already developing new ideas to expand VillaWald's afternoon and weekend offerings for nature and environmental education projects and activities, particularly in line with the mandatory full-day school program. Do you have ideas or would you like to offer projects? Get in touch !
