A small selection of projects
At the VillaWald nature and forest kindergarten, children experience exciting projects with and in nature every day . These include not only their own discoveries in the forest, creating color charts from leaves, and exploring the interplay of colors in nature , but also collaborative projects like "From Egg to Chicken" with the Kindervilla Kunterbunt kindergarten . Visits from institutions such as the fire department or police also enrich our project offerings and make learning lively and hands-on.
Clean Hesse 2025
The VillaWald forest and nature kindergarten participated in the “Clean Hesse” environmental campaign again this year and even received €200 .

Butterflies
At the VillaWald kindergarten, the children experienced the fascinating development of the butterfly firsthand. With great curiosity and attention, they observed how small caterpillars transformed into colorful butterflies – an impressive nature experience that playfully imparted knowledge about animals, cycles, and the value of nature.
The children were thrilled when they were finally allowed to release the butterflies into freedom.
Color plays
At the VillaWald kindergarten, children discover the diverse colors of nature: vibrant green in spring, colorful blossoms in summer, golden leaves in autumn, and the crisp winter landscape. Through conscious observation, collecting, and creating, they experience how the forest changes throughout the year – a sensory experience that awakens wonder and sharpens their appreciation for the beauty of our environment.
The children thoroughly enjoyed mixing their own colors , using natural materials, and creatively implementing the changing color schemes.
VillaWald is participating in the "Clean Hesse" initiative!
The VillaWald forest and nature kindergarten participated in the "Clean Hesse" environmental campaign again this year. Our children diligently collected litter, sending a strong message about environmental protection, sustainability, and a conscious relationship with nature.
For their commitment, the children were awarded prize money of 200 euros – a nice recognition that also motivates them to remain active.
The action days impressively demonstrate how important it is to raise awareness among even the youngest children about the responsible use of our environment. Experiencing, protecting, and preserving nature together – that's environmental learning that's fun and effective.
